I'll stamp all over 'credible combatant' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-round fight which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Ex twice unified title holder Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth disparity - at Miami arena on 19 December.

Boxer's Mentality

"I'm going to break his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, declared.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.

"I intend to really want to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Exchange

Despite such comments, a composed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically recognized for his dramatics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Paul rather attacked former Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "ridiculous" after Ngannou rejected a match opportunity.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, at the same time, took aim at UK opponent Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer stated.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Fighter

Despite stating he plans to punish Paul, Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

Still, the inexperienced fighter is still one of boxing's biggest money-making draws, regularly earning huge financial rewards.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old anticipated a knockout win in round four or five and asserted he would derail the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly under discussion for two years from now.

"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.

Physical Disparity

As both boxers engaged in the usual stare-down, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it emphasized just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is really proceeding.
